I've had some pretty bad luck with girls in guilds. The guy's would fawn and flirt with them constantly and e-flirting/drama would ensue. The last guild I was in was actually pretty mature and with a few girls, but me and my friend got banned from there for jackassery (we thought that IQ wouldn't win the championship, my friend got in a fight with a few of them, we left.)

Since Balan brought it up, I can't really comment a whole lot on WoW's e-drama since my guilds are pretty casual and hence pretty mature. I will say that a lot of people take it more seriously, and since it has a whole lot more people, there will be a whole lot more drama. Here's one of the biggest incidents of this happening, and it's so legendary it has its own WoWwiki page!

I have a friend from WoW that met another guy, in WoW and our guild. They were interested in each other; they met each other as well. They were both really nice... I was friends with both of them. It didn't work out though for non-gaming reasons >.>

I can't say I know of any relationships between people playing Guild Wars. My guild is mostly inactive, save for half the officers and some members. As far as I know, all the currently active members are male, straight male.

Seriously, if I'm busy, I'm busy. I've had my ex come over to 'surprise' me at my house and he'd get pissed because I was playing. If he was in a WoW raid and I called/pm'ed him on MSN he would reply that he was raiding and would talk to me later, so I'd go off and play my games. Then he'd call me back later and I'd be playing and he'd get mad if I told him I'd talk to him later. If I didn't answer a phone text he'd call up within 5 minutes to demand why I didn't answer. Or he'd come into WC3 to check if I was on Bnet and b*tch at me. So I made a new name for BNet and put my MSN on "appear offline".

I mean seriously, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I spend my life pining for my boyfriend. If I call him and he's busy, I am bloody well gonna do something else rather than wait beside the phone for his call. I expect him to do the same. When I'm playing a game, half the time I'm too engrossed to even hear my phone vibrate on the table. And I don't throw a hissy fit when HE doesn't hear MY calls.

Oh, and he'd get all mad if I told him he wasn't playing properly. Sheesh, if you suck in Dota, you suck in Dota, no amount of lying is gonna change the fact that you are a liability.
